History

Kolkata is the capital of Indian state West Bengal, and also the fastest growing metropolitan city. Under the British Raj, Kolkata was the capital of India until year 1911. This city was the major centre of different nationalist movement. After 1947 Kolkata was also the hub for modern education, till now this city was the biggest city in the country.
