Day 01: Arrival at Delhi

Upon arrival at Delhi, you will be escorted by Indecubo Travel’s representative to check-in to the hotel. Your day will be kept at leisure.

Dinner & overnight stay would be at a hotel in Delhi.

Day 02: Drive from Delhi to Churu (250 km/ 5-6 Hrs)

churuPost breakfast, start driving to Churu. Upon arrival at Churu, check-in to the hotel first.

Churu, the entry gate to Thar Desert is strategically located at 28°18’ North latitude and 74°58’ East longitude. It is also called desert city and is of immense historic significance. The town is believed to be discovered by Churu named Jat in 1620 AD. Churu is beautifully located in the transition phase where sand dunes of Thar Desert start.

 

Visit to havelis is scheduled during afternoon.

Day 03: Drive from Churu to Bikaner (180 km/ 3-4 Hrs)

JunagarthHave breakfast at a hotel and then start driving to Bikaner. Upon arrival at Bikaner, check-in to the hotel first. After few hours of relaxation, you will proceed for the Bikaner city tour. First in the hit list would be Junagarh Fort. Its history dates back to the reign of Raja Rai Singh. It is a fact that this fort had never been conquered by anyone. It is the most magnificent fort in the history of Bikaner. There are around 37 palaces within its complex. It is surrounded by a seven kilometres long wall and two large gates. After that a walking tour is scheduled to visit the old Bikaner city.

Day 04: Bikaner- Nagaur- Khimsar (150 km/ 3-4 Hrs)

nagaurAfter breakfast at hotel in Bikaner, start driving to Khimsar visiting Nagaur Fort on the way.

Nagaur Fort: Nagaur Fort is popularly known as Sandy Fort. It stands as a testimony to many battles. It is 2nd century old and is a huge complex with lofty walls and housing palaces & temples.

Tarkeen Dargah: It is one of the most renowned dargah following Ajmer Dargah. It is a holy place for muslims and sufis.

 

Glass Jain Temple: It is an amazing feat of architecture and is the holy place for Jain community.

Saiji Ka Tanka: It is a tranquil place as it is the Samadhi of a saint. The saint is an inspiration for faithfulness and simplicity.

 

Continuing drive, you will arrive at Khimsar.

 

Dinner & overnight stay would be at a hotel in Khimsar.

Day 05: Khimsar to Khichan (160 km/ 3-4 Hrs)

khichanHave breakfast at the hotel and then start driving to Khichan. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. After few hours of relaxation, get ready for bird watching. Khichan is a quaint village which is located around 150 kilometres from North of Jodhpur.

 

At the end of August, this place becomes noisy with the sounds of ‘krok-krok’ as Demoiselle Crane invades it. The sky also gets darkened as a large number of cranes fly above it.

Day 06: Khichan to Jaisalmer (170 km/ 4-5 Hrs)

jainPost breakfast, proceed for a drive to Jaisalmer. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel first. Jaisalmer used to be a trading centre and princely state in Rajasthan. Also known as ‘Golden City’, it is a complex of yellow sandstone architecture. The skyline is dominated by Jaisalmer Fort. The complex of fort is housed with beautiful palaces and Jain temples.

 

Rest of the day will be kept at leisure.

Day 07: Jaisalmer Sightseeing

jaisalmerAfter breakfast, proceed for Jaisalmer city tour. Jaisalmer Fort is the major attraction of this town and stands around 100 metres over the city. Measuring the city lanes, you can feel the magic that this ‘Golden City’ beholds. There are numerous entrances that guard the fort- Bhoota Pol, Ganesh Pol, Hava Pol, Megh Durbar, Suraj Pol and Jawahar Mahal. Visiting havelis is also scheduled. These havelis are adorned with meticulously carved facades, screens and windows.

 

Nathumal Haveli was constructed for the prime minister. Patwon Haveli is also among the popular ones. It is a group of five havelis and was built for five brothers. The murals and pillars are beautifully carved. Enjoy typical Rajasthani dinner and Rajasthani music in havelis.

 

Overnight stay would be at a hotel in Jaisalmer.

Day 08: Jaisalmer to Bhenswara Via Jodhpur (335 km/ 6-7 Hrs)

sheeshPost breakfast at hotel, proceed for a drive to Bhenswara. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. On the way to city tour of Jodhpur, Mehrangarh Fort is the finest tourist spot. It is 5 kilometres long fort which is situated at 125 metres high hill. Its architecture is the most impressive. The fort houses many splendid palaces with beautifully carved panels and windows.  Daulat Khana, Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sheesh Mahal and Sileh Khana are the testimonies of bygone era.

 

This fort was built on the finest architectural scale and was named after Maharaja Umaid Singh, grandfather of present Maharaja of Jodhpur. The construction of this fort took one and half decade. Since 1943, it is the residence of royal family of Jodhpur. Later continue driving to Bhenswara.

Day 09: Bhenswara to Udaipur (230 km/ 4-5 Hrs)

udaipurAfter breakfast, continue drive to City Palace. Upon arrival at Udaipur, check-in to the hotel first. Proceed for City Palace visit after few hours of relaxation at the hotel. City Palace is on the bank of Pichola Lake. It was built by Maharana Udai Singh in 1570. The complex of this palace is the perfect amalgamation of Rajputs and Mughals. Half of the City Palace is the residence of royal family while other half has been converted into museum. Jagdish Temple is also a major attraction in Udaipur. It was built by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1651. This temple exemplifies the Nagara style of temple architecture. There is a Garuda (made up of brass) outside the temple and an elephant(made up of stone). Inside the temple, there is an idol of Lord Vishnu (made up of black stone). Lord Vishnu or Jagannath is also known as the Lord of Universe. Sahelion ki Bari is a garden that used to be a garden specifically made for ladies. It is inside the palace and is adorned with fountains and beautiful flora and fauna.

Day 10: Udaipur to Bundi Via Chittorgarh (300 km/ 6-7 Hrs)

chhitorgarhPost breakfast, hop on for a drive to Bundi via Chittorgarh.

 

Chhitorgarh Fort was constructed during 7th century AD. It was built during the reign of Mauryans. It was named after Chitrangada Mori whose name was inscribed on the coins as well. Facts say that Chittorgarh Fort served as capital to Mewar for 834 years. It is believed that it was then gifted as dowry to Bappa Rawal who married Solanki princess during 8th century. In 1568 AD, Emperor Akbar looted and destroyed. It was then never resettled and was refurbished in 1905 AD. To get the control of fort, three battles were fought. Even after numerous battles, the fort was in possession of Rajputs’ clan. It was then finally abandoned in 1568.

 

After visiting Chittorgarh, continue driving to Bundi.

Day 11: Bundi to Deoli (60 km/ 1 Hr)

Post breakfast at hotel, start driving to Deoli. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel. The day is set at leisure. However, after few hours of relaxation, you may opt for a walking tour to witness the rural life.

Dinner & overnight stay would be at a hotel in Deoli.

Day 12: Deoli to Jaipur (260 km/ 6-7 Hrs)

havaAfter breakfast, start driving to Jaipur. On the way, stop at Amber Fort. The site is quite pleasant with romance in the air. The rugged walls of fort may not seem appealing but interior will give you the best treat. Frescos, Stones and mirrors are perfectly placed. Elephant ride to the entrance of fort is a unique experience and will give you a recall of memories of royal lifestyle of the kings and emperors. After entering the fort, Jag Mandir or Hall of Victory is also an ultimate spot. Inside Jag Mandir, you may find Sheesh Mahal. Sheesh Mahal is a room where walls and ceiling are glittered with mirrors. The mirrors have been imported specially from Belgium. Continuing towards Amber Fort, a brief photography halt will be at Hawa Mahal- the ‘Palace of Winds’.

 

Next in line is a visit to City Palace of Maharaja. It is half museum and half the residence of royal family of Jaipur. It is a huge complex that covers around one seventh area of Jaipur. The major attraction of the museum is Armory Section. It houses the weapons such as rifles, guns, swords, pistols etc. that were once used by the former royal families. Now proceed for Jantar Mantar. It is the largest observatory in the world which is made up of stone and marble. Jantar Mantar is located near the gate of City Palace. It has 17 large instruments. Of these many are in working condition.

Day 13: Jaipur- Chomu- Kotputli (95 km/ 2-3 Hrs)

chomuMorning is set at leisure. Take a walking tour around Chomu Palace. Continue drive to Kotputli.

 

Dinner & overnight stay would be at a hotel in Kotputli.

Day 14: Kotputli- Gurgaon (160 km/ 3-4 Hrs)

After breakfast, start driving to Gurgaon. The day is set at leisure.

Day 15: Depart from Gurgaon

You will be transferred to airport to board the flight to next destination.
