Day 01: Arrival at Kolkata

Upon your arrival at Kolkata, Indecubo Travel’s representative will escort you to the hotel. Check-in to the hotel and relax for rest of the day.

Day 02: Kolkata Sightseeing

kolkataAfter breakfast, get ready for sightseeing of Kolkata. The first spot would be Victoria Memorial. Victoria Memorial in Kolkata is exemplary monument of European architecture. Next spots to visit would be Saint Paul’s Cathedral, temples- Kali Temple, Pareshnath Jain Temple and Botanical Garden. Explore in and around the city to know it better.

Day 03: Kolkata to Bhubaneswar (By Flight)

bhuvPost breakfast, you will be escorted to airport to board the flight to Bhubaneswar. Bhubaneswar is the capital city of Odisha. It is also known as ‘Temple City of East’. Upon your arrival at Bhubaneswar, check-in to the hotel first. After few hours of relaxation, the sightseeing tour of Bhubaneswar will start from Lingaraja Temple. This temple is among the oldest temples of Odisha. It perfectly exemplifies the Orissan architecture. Later visit Bindu Sarovar and Kedareshwar Temple. Bindu Sarovar is one of the holiest pilgrimage sites while Kedareshwar Temple is one of the most popular temples dedicated to Goddess Durga.

Day 04: Lalitgiri, Khandagiri and Udayagiri

Starting with Lalitgiri you will witness the ancient lifestyle, the crafts and pottery. Later visit Khandagiri and Udayagiri Caves. These are twin hills and have been meticulously carved out of twin hills. These carvings are so fabulous that cannot take your eyes off it.

Day 05: Bhubaneswar- Konark- Puri (105 km/ 3 Hrs)

konarkAfter breakfast, visit Konark (70 kilometres from Bhubaneswar). Konark is so beautiful that everyone fall short of words. After having a look at Konark Sun Temple, Rabindranath Tagore quoted- ‘Here the language of man is defeated by the language of stone’. Konark Sun Temple is also listed in World Heritage Sites due to its magnificent architecture. It is said that the hypnotic character of stones of this temple will hold you for long periods.

 

Continuing the drive, reach Puri. Puri is a holy city and is a significant city for Hindu religion in India. Puri is a city that offers different aspects to visitors like sea, shopping, dance and temples. Sightseeing of this city will start from Jagannath temple. Jagannath temple is one of the four important dhams (pilgrimage sites) in India. Later visit the serene beaches of Puri.

Day 06: Puri- Chilika Lake- Gopalpur (222 km/ 5 Hrs)

chilikaEnjoy breakfast with beach side view and then proceed for Chilika Lake. The picturesque views will leave you spell bound. It is a well known fact that Chilika Lake is the largest lake in Asia containing mixed fresh and salt water. Many guest birds rest here during December and March. This certainly adds to the beauty of Chilika Lake in Odisha.

 

Continuing the drive, you will reach Gopalpur. With a suffix ‘on sea’, it is ‘Gopalpur-on-sea’. You will witness the fishermen catching fishes on the shores of Gopalpur beach. Gopalpur is famous for beautiful beaches and a temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. Relish at the beaches during evening.

Day 07: Gopalpur- Rayagada (221 km/ 5 Hrs)

Not only their lifestyle but also their attire, ornaments and food are different. Rayagada offers natural beauty that cannot be found anywhere else. Visit Langia Soura- a tribal village to know about the tribes very closely. Once you reach Rayagada, visit Hathipathar. Hathipathar is stone in the shape of elephant, thus, attracts thousands of tourists. You may visit Kutia Kondh tribe market during evening to witness the people of tribes.

Day 08: Rayagada Sightseeing

rayagaraPost breakfast in the tribal surrounding, sightseeing tour of Rayagada will start from Minajhola. Minajhola is beautiful spot. Continue drive to Padampur- a tribal village. Padampur villahe is also famous for its Manikeshwar Shiv Temple.

Day 09: Rayagada- Jeypore (132 km/ 2 Hrs)

Enjoy sightseeing tour to ancient temples of Odisha such as Kali Temple, Neelkantheshwara temple and Jeypore Fort. Later drive to Kolab Dam and Machkund Dam.

Day 10: Jeypore- Onukudelli- Jeypore (80 km/ 2 Hrs)

Post breakfast, drive to Onukudelli. It is a must excursion from Jeypore. Bonda market, Gadaba market and Didayee market are major attraction to collect the tribal souvenirs and ornaments. Natural beauty of this place is breath-taking.

Day 11: Jeypore- Visakhapatnam (218 km/ 5 Hrs))

vishakhapatnamEnjoy breakfast in typical tribal surroundings. Later start driving to Visakhapatnam- the port city. It is famous with its suffix- ‘The Jewel of the East Coast’. The port city has many tourist attractions. Upon arrival at Visakhapatnam, check-in to the hotel and relax for few hours. Sightseeing tour of Visakhapatnam will begin from Kailashgiri Park. It is located at hill top. Here you can try rope way and circular train journey. Beach Road walk is something that is kept for evening.  Later go for Rushikonda Beach.

Day 12: Visakhapatnam- Kolkata (By Flight)

narsimhaAfter breakfast, get ready for sightseeing of Visakhapatnam. Rose Hill Church is the first spot to visit while next would be Simhachalam Temple which is dedicated to Lord Narsimha. Next in line is Indira Gandhi Zoological Park.

 

Later, you will be transferred to the airport to board the flight to Kolkata to catch the flight to next destination.
