This is one of the most exciting places to visit in India. The major centres of attraction are the cities like Jaipur, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Jaisalmer and many more. Rajasthan is popularly known as the state of kings and warriors.

 

The magnificent forts in Jaipur and Jodhpur clearly demonstrate the scenario of battle that raged across this state. Other than this, the places like Fatehpur Sikri and Udaipur in Rajasthan are known for their beauty and romantic charm. Then visiting Agra is no less than a romantic dream turning into reality. The great Taj Mahal reflects the purity as well as the dignity of the love of a king towards her queen. For the religious and sacred people, the place Varanasi is located on the banks of holy River Ganga that again lingers a very long memory. This adventurous trip is aimed at giving the introduction to the gems of India that are located in North of country.

The first day will be remarked by reaching Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, with a tradition welcome on your arrival. Once you check-in, you would be left at your leisure to relax in the hotel.

Overnight stay will be at a luxury hotel in Delhi.

After taking a breakfast, we will move for watching the sights in Old as well as New Delhi with our representatives. These sights will include; making a visit to Humayun Tomb, Qutab Minar and Jama Masjid.

You will head off straight to the heart of old city, also known as Old Delhi. Jama Masjid is the best known mosque in India. It took about 6 years to build this mosque. Situated in the beginning of Chawri Bazar Road, the area is extremely crowded throughout the year. Experience the life of Chandni Chowk with a ride on its very famous rickshaws. You could also spend some time buying memories from this busy market. Our next stop is Raj Ghat the Memorial of Mahatma Gandhi to pay homage to the father of nation.

Post Lunch visit Humayun Tomb built in 1565 AD, is the first garden tomb in India. Qutab Minar, one of the tallest towers in India was built in 1193. Approximately 72 meters high, it is built in red and buff sandstone.  Later proceed for the gems of India’s colonial heritage that is Rashtrapathi Bhavan, the World War I memorial India Gate, the 85 year old edifice Parliament House. After a tiring day, you will return to hotel, for an overnight stay.

After watching the beautiful sights in Delhi, we will set for a flight to Varanasi in the afternoon and visit holy place Sarnath that is located just outside the city. Varanasi, locally called Banaras is beautiful and colorful city of India. Also known as Kashi, the city is on the banks of river Ganga towards the South-East of Lucknow.

Then we will visit the Ghats of River Ganges for the prayer ceremony that takes place at sunset. You will witness devotees enchanting songs and offering prayers. It will be fascinating to see the traditional lamps floating in the Ganges. Flowers offered during prayers, makes the Ganges look colourful. We let you spend some time here leaving rest of the hours free for you to spend as you like.

Overnight stay will be in Varanasi today.

The next morning, we will go for a boat ride on the River Ganges and explore the beauty of these amazing Ghats. After this, we will set for a walking tour of this city preceded by everyday morning ceremonies that are performed by the priests of this place.

 

We will be leaving Varanasi at noon by flight for Khajuraho to tour the exotic temples in Khajuraho. We will reach late in the afternoon, leaving you at the hotel for an hour and proceed to visit the famous Khajuraho temples. You will witness the amazingly preserved erotic structures by the locals of Khajuraho. It has the largest bunch of medieval Jain and Hindu Temples.

 

Khajuraho is a small town in the district of Chhatarpur in the state of Madhya Pradesh located in the central part of India. Known for housing large number of temples belonging to the Hindu as well as the Jain religion, this town is among the popular tourist spots in nation. These temples, embellished with erotic sculptures, have helped the name of the town to get mentioned in the list of the World Heritage Sites in the country by (UNESCO).

 

Overnight stay will be in Khajuraho.

Once we return, we will drive to Jhansi to board your train to Agra. En-route visit the holy temples at Orchha. Khajuraho to Orchha is 2 hours’ drive by road. Orchha is a small town in the district of Madhya Pradesh that lies on the bank of River Betwa. This medieval city was founded in 15th century AD, by Bundela chief, Rudra Pratap Singh, who became the first king of Orchha (1501-1531) and he was the one who built the fort of Orchha. It was during the reign of emperor Akbar, that the Chaturbhuj temple was built, while Raj Mandir was built by Madhukar Shah during his reign (1554-91) . It was believed to be the most powerful and largest kingdoms of central India.

After this, we will catch an express train for Agra in the evening. You will arrive late evening in Agra and straight transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay will be in Agra.

The whole day will be dedicated for a guided tour in Agra. We will have a Tonga ride (popularly known as the Horse Carriage) till Taj gate to visit Taj Mahal and Agra fort. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan, this architectural marvel is a great example of perfectly proportioned masterpiece.

The Agra fort built by Emperor Akbar, depict the immense Mughal Talent. The Agra fort will give you a magical view of Taj Mahal. Started by Akbar, the fort was completed by his two successive generations.

Then we will stop at the tomb of Itmad- u- Dulah built by father of the queen Noor Jehan. If you wish, we can also return to Taj Mahal in order to view see sunset. We will then return for an overnight stay in the hotel in Agra.

We will be leaving Agra after breakfast and set for a long journey from Agra to Jaipur by road. It will be approx. 4 hours journey. We will be stopping in Abheneri where the famous Chand Baori (Step well) waits. This step well was created by the King Chandra of the Nikumbha Dynasty. This step well is regarded as the oldest monuments in the country. This place is situated near a temple that is dedicated to Harshat Mata who is regarded as the Goddess of happiness as well as joy. In the past years, the local people relied on the step wells in order to contain the rainwater for their purposes.

 

Once you reach Jaipur, we will give you time to explore the city. This entire city was painted in pink colour in the year 1876 to celebrate the visit of Prince of Wales and in the afternoon, we will visit the Jewellery shop and enjoy walking tour with the guide to famous Raj Mandir Cinema. This large theatre is known all over the country, for its great size as well as opulent meringue colour interior.

 

Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Jaipur.

In the morning we will set for a climb to Amber Fort on the back of elephants. Pronounced as “Amer Fort”, the fort is spread over 4 square kilometres. To reach the fort, situated at the hill-top, we will arrange the elephant ride. You will be riding on beautifully decorated elephants that will give you that royal feel taking you back to the old days of India. These elephants will escort you till the entrance of fort. Thereafter the fort will be explored on foot.

The fort is made of minute mirrors. You will see zillions of mirror work all over. You will be observing the Diwaan-e-Aam and Diwaan-e-Khaas; the Hall of Public Audience. It opens from 3 sides, which was initially opened for the people of Amer to meet Raja Man Singh for their grievances.

You will also see the “Sukh Niwas” in the fort. Known as the residence of pleasure, it is said that King used to spend time with his queens and mistresses here. The hall is made of sandal wood with a channel which carried cold water, which worked as air cooler. This artificially created hall depicts another brilliantly thought of creation done in those times. Return to the foot hill will be by Jeep or you can walk down.

Our next stop will be at the historic Hawa Mahal or the palace of winds. It was created for the royal ladies for them to see the daily chores of people from the windows. These ladies were never allowed to come out in public.

In the afternoon we will go to visit the Museum at Maharaja City Palace and Observatory and then walk by foot in the busy streets of Jaipur for shopping at the Handicrafts and Carpets market in Jaipur.

Today, in early morning we will drive from Jaipur to reach Jodhpur. It will be a long 4 hours journey by road. Once you reach Jodhpur in the afternoon and check in at your Hotel.

 

Jodhpur- Founded in the year 1459 by Rao Jodha, the chief of the Rathore dynasty, Jodhpur is one of the most visited cities of Rajasthan. The Rathores fled to Pali from afghan threat, near to the present day Jodhpur. Marriage of Rathore Siahaji to the sister of a local prince strengthened their hold in this region. They defeated the Pratiharas of Mandore, near Jodhpur and later the capital shifted from Mandore to Jodhpur- the Sun City.

 

Later a jeep desert safari will take you to fascinating tribal Bishnoi villages, full of color and life with activities such as blacksmithing, pot-making, weaving and agriculture. Overnight stay today will be at a hotel in Jodhpur.

The entire day is scheduled for sightseeing in Jodhpur. We will visit the formidable fort of Mehrangarh and the Royal Cenotaphs of Jaswant Thada. Mehrangarh fort in Jodhpur is one the largest forts in India, situated 400 feet above the city. There are 7 gates to forts and has a museum inside the fort having most well stocked pieces in Rajasthan. Then we will set for a walking tour in the Clock tower area and Sadar bazaar- the old spice market.

Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Jodhpur again.

We will leave for Udaipur in the morning and visit beautiful marble temples at Ranakpur and dedicate the whole evening to leisure. Jodhpur to Udaipur is approx. 4 hours and 30 minutes’ drive by road.

Ranakpur is a small village in a remote valley famous for its beautiful 14th century Jain temples. The place was named as Ranakpur when a large stretch of land was given to Jains by Rana Kumbha of Mewar in 15thcentury. This place became popular for Jain temples. Ranakpur is one of the five holiest and awesome places of Jain community with exceptional beauty.

 

Once you reach and check-in at your hotel rooms, we will let you relax. Rest of the day is on leisure.

 

Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Udaipur.

A favorite among travelers, Udaipur is full of palaces and temples. Udaipur, also known as the City of the Lakes is a visual treat to all those who come here. Carved in the Aravalli hills, this romantic city is also called – “the city of sunrise”. The morning time is dedicated to a visit to the City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Sahelion ki Bari Gardens.

 

Situated on the banks of Lake Pichola, the City Palace was built by Maharana Udai Singh and later completed by his successors. It is the largest palace complex of Rajasthan. It is a blend of European, Medieval and Chinese architecture.

 

Later visit Jagdish Temple, built to dedicate Lord Laxmi Narayan. You will witness these three storeyed temple, beautifully carved with lush walls and painted walls.

 

Next in schedule is the Sahelion ki Bari, also called the Garden of maids. You will see the alluring central courtyard with central tank. The out-lawns of courtyard have fountains, flower beds and pools. It is said that this garden was built for 48 maids, received as dowry by Maharana Sangram Singh.

 

The evening will be dedicated to a boat ride on Pichola Lake. An artificial fresh water lake, Pichola Lake was created way back in 1362 AD. Yes! It is that old. Spread over 4 kilometres area it is one of the beautiful lakes in Udaipur.

 

Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

The morning will be dedicated to leisure; your flight will take off for Mumbai in the evening.
