It’s the time to dissolve in the serene beauty of nature enveloped by Nilgiri hills and the tending to infinity tea plantations. Nilgiri’s are called the Blue Mountains and we are still figuring out why they are called so. These ranges in Southern India are much talked about in the world for 24 peaks much above 2,000 meters. They are located in western part of Tamil Nadu and in the junction of Kerala and Karnataka. In this 13 days tour, we will take you to an exotic journey of Nilgiri Hills.

The journey will inaugurate with your appearance at Bangalore, which will soon be followed by warm welcome. You will then soon be relocated to your hotel. In afternoon we will take you to a private guided half day tour covering Vidhan Sabha, Lal Bagh, Bull Temple and Tipu Sultan’s Palace.

Initially designed in Mughal style and laid out as a private garden in an area of 40 acres by Haider Ali, it was further developed by his son Tipu Sultan more than 200 years ago. Subsequently the British made noteworthy contributions to its development. Lal bagh is currently under the aegis of Directorate of Horticulture, Government of Karnataka. Having been given the status of a Government Botanical Garden in 1856, Lal Bagh since then has been an internationally renowned centre for scientific study of plants and botanical artwork and also conservation of plants.

We will continue our journey to Mysore towards West from Bengaluru, passing through Srirangapatna, an island fortress town, situated on the banks of river Cauvery, at a distance of 120 kilometres from Bangalore, in Mandya district of Karnataka, strategically located just 15 kilometres from the Palace City of Mysore. It is a town of great religious, cultural and historic importance and is known to have been the historic capital during Tipu Sultan’s struggle against British rule. Next in plan is the visit to Ranganathaswamy Temple a pre-historic site that stands witness to Srirangapatna’s rich glorious past.

On arrival in Mysore you will check in at the Hotel in Mysore. The overnight stay and the dinner will be at a hotel.

Today the entire day is planned for sightseeing in Mysore. The heritage city of Mysore is at its vibrant best during 10 days of Dussehra festival, which celebrates the goddess Durga in all her incarnations. Dusshera in Mysore is celebrated as the state festival. You will be a part of this royal celebration today. You will witness the royal family of Mysore performing the special ritual and prayers. During this festival, the entire city is decorated. You will get to see a range of cultural programs organized in palace, which includes poet meet, film festival, food festival, wrestling etc. The programs are witnessed by a large number of people from all over the country.

Planned next is sightseeing to Somnathpur, a small village on the banks of river Cauvery, founded by the commander of HoysalaArmy, Somnath. We will be visiting the famous Keshavatemple. The temple built in Hoysala style stands testimony to grandeur of the temples built by the Hoysala rulers, with the names of the sculptors duly inscribed on their works. Built on an elevated star shaped platform, the temple is famous for its elaborate and intricate sculpturing.

At the end of the day we will return to hotel. Dinner will be served at the hotel followed by an overnight stay in Mysore.

After morning appetizers, we will get set to a 4 hours’ drive towards Ooty. It typically has pleasant and perfect weather all year round. The city was initially established around 1820 as a place for the British to escape the extreme heat of the plains eventually developing into one of the most popular resort towns. The luring aroma of Eucalyptus trees, pine trees, coffee and tea plantations fill the air with a spicy fragrance.
At the height of 7,500 feet, lies the charismatic hill station of Ooty, which is actually short for Ootacamund and is now officially named Udhagamandalam. The place lies between four mountain peaks –Club Hill, Snowdon, Doddabetta and Elk Hill offering spectacular landscapes. A quick check in willbe soon shadowed by a serene evening wherein you can explore the natural scenes and relax your eyes.

After the programmed breakfast, you will be taken on a pleasing drive to Ooty visiting the beautiful tea and coffee plantations of Ooty and the Rose Gardens are pre-planned and the Toy train ride down from Ooty to Coonoor. Journey in the Blue Mountain Railway line the blue and cream steam livery chugs from Mettupalayam to Ooty via Coonoor, negotiating 16 tunnels, 31 major bridges and climbing to 2,193 metres, will provide the superlative experience.

Evening is at rest to relax and cherish the moments.

After breakfast you will drive to Wayanad which is a 3.5 hour long drive. You will arrive at Wayanad and rest of the day, you will be at leisure. You can see dense forests, sprawling grasslands, miles of tea gardens and eucalyptus trees enroute to Wayanad, which is one of the most beautiful places in Kerala.

You can have a relaxed night stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, you will take a private guided tour of Wayanad, visiting the Edakkal Caves where you will be transported back in time to the age of early men. After an exciting adventure at the ancient caves, you will spend the night in hotel at Wayanad.

After breakfast, a three hours’ drive to Nagarhole is intended. On arrival, check in at your hotel. Evening sets the platform for relaxation and rejuvenation.

An audacious Boat Safari is scheduled for the morning. Fascinated ones will be taken upstream from the resort on Kabini River and will make full use of the visit to Bandipur National Park. Giant Bamboo, dominates the riverside. Return to lodge for breakfast. In the afternoon, a cheeky canter safari to the Park will chill your spine.

A yum breakfast will gear you for a drive to Coorg of about 04 Hours. Check in at hotel will then be performed. A visit to coffee plantation will provide you a deeper insight over your most preferred beverage. The Plantation trails are located in the idyllic coffee growing estates in and around Pollibetta. Spread over an extensive area, these coffee estates also nurture pepper, cardamom and vanilla. Evening is at leisure to relax and unwind.

After breakfast, a half day visit to Dubare Camp will pacify your eyes. Dubare Elephant camp has plenty of elephants which are trained under naturalists. A trained naturalist is at hand to explain the various aspects of Elephant history, ecology and biology. The visitor can not only observe and learn but also participate in various activities involving Elephants. Evening is at leisure to relax.

Drive to Mangalore of 5 hours will be undertaken after a scrumptious breakfast at hotel. You will have to board your flight in afternoon. A heartfelt welcome there will transfer you to your hotel. Evening is at leisure to relax and unwind.

Breakfast is slated at the Hotel. At an appropriate time, you will be met and transferred to the airport for your homebound. Further, you can also choose to continue enjoying exotic travel with us and get enrolled in one more package!
