Welcome to Bangalore, the capital city of state of Karnataka! You will be received at Bangalore International airport and transferred to hotel by our representative. You will get to relax in your hotel rooms. Afternoon and evening will be free to explore this fifth largest city of India, voted the country’s ‘Most Liveable Metropolis’. Located on Deccan Plateau, in the south-eastern part of Karnataka, Bangalore is famous as the city of gardens.

The tour is planned for a visit to Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, sprawling Cubbon Park, Vidhana Soudha, Ulsoor Lake Pathway and the ISKCON Temple.

You can also indulge in shopping of handicrafts and silk sarees that Bangalore is famous for. The arrival day is at leisure for you to relax and use the time as per your wish. We will stay overnight at a hotel in Bengaluru.

After breakfast you will proceed on a guided tour to the famous Lalbagh Botanical Gardens in Bangalore. Initially designed in Mughal style and laid out as a private garden in an area of 40 acres by Haider Ali, it was further developed by his son Tipu Sultan more than 200 years ago. Subsequently the British made noteworthy contributions to its development. Lalbagh is currently under the aegis of the Directorate of Horticulture, Government of Karnataka. Having been given the status of a Government Botanical Garden in 1856, Lalbagh since then has been an internationally renowned centre for scientific study of plants and botanical artwork and also conservation of plants.

Lalbagh Botanical Gardens today, is a lush green paradise sprawled across an area of 240 acres in the heart of city. Well protected with stone walls and four approach gates, you will enjoy the walk along walkways amidst a collection of nearly 673 genera and 1,854 species of plants found here. The various artistic structures in Lalbagh are sure to astound you, the Glass House being the most famous! Lecture Hall, Lalbagh House, Pigeon House, the Directorate Building, Lalbagh West Gate Guard Room, the Museum & Cottage, Deer Paddock, Aquarium building, Aviary and Kempegowda Tower are some of other artistic structures that you will see in Lalbagh. The serenity of Lalbagh Lake is sure to rejuvenate you.

We will continue our journey to Mysore towards West from Bengaluru, passing through Srirangapatna, an island fortress town, situated on the banks of river Cauvery, at a distance of 120 kilometres from Bangalore, in Mandya district of Karnataka, strategically located just 15 kilometres from the Palace City of Mysore. It is a town of great religious, cultural and historic importance and is known to have been the historic capital during Tipu Sultan’s struggle against British rule. Next in plan is the visit to Ranganathaswamy Temple a pre-historic site that stands witness to Srirangapatna’s rich glorious past.

On arrival in Mysore you will check in ata hotel in Mysore. The overnight stay will be at hotel.

Today the entire day is planned for sightseeing in Mysore. The heritage city of Mysore is at its vibrant best during 10 days of Dussehra festival, which celebrates the goddess Durga in all her incarnations. Dusshera in Mysore is celebrated as the state festival. You will be a part of this royal celebration today. You will witness the royal family of Mysore performing the special ritual and prayers. During this festival, entire city is decorated. You will get to see a range of cultural programs organized in palace, which includes poet meet, film festival, food festival, wrestling etc. The programs are witnessed by a large number of people from all over the country.

Planned next is sightseeing to Somnathpur, a small village on the banks of the river Cauvery, founded by the commander of the Hoyasala army, Somnath. We will be visiting the famous Keshava temple. The temple built in Hoyasala style stands testimony to grandeur of the temples built by the Hoysala rulers, with the names of the sculptors duly inscribed on their works. Built on an elevated star shaped platform, the temple is famous for its elaborated and intricate sculpturing.

At the end of the day we will return to the hotel. Dinner will be served at hotel followed by an overnight stay in Mysore.

Today the tour is set for a move towards North-East direction. After breakfast you will leave on a day long circuit tour to the three most popular excursion destinations from Mysore – Shravanabelagola, Belur and Halebid. Situated in the Hassan District, Shravanabelagola is one of the most impressive historical temple towns and pilgrimage centres in Karnataka. An important Jain pilgrim center in India, it is located at an altitude of 3,350 feet above sea level in between Indragiri and Chandragiri hills, famous for 57 feet statue of Lord Bahubali, the largest monolithic stone statue in the world.

If time permits, there are numerous other monuments of interest that can be visited. Belur and Halebid, on the other hand, are famous for the Hoysala era temple architecture. Worship of Divine Mother, one of the oldest forms of worship known to humanity, is a grand affair, celebrated with festive fervor at Belur Math during 10 days of Dussehra festival. Overnight stay will be at Hassan.

From Hassan we will move towards North, approximately 186 kilometres. We will travel to Chitradurga after breakfast, located at an extreme North-West of Bangalore. Renowned as the land of valour and chivalry, its history has been traced to the Mauryan Empire dating to 3rd millennium B.C., to the period of Ramayana and Mahabharata. Chitradurga is known as the “stone fortress, in fact, the boulders on which major part of the city rests belong to the oldest rock formation in the country.

After Chitradurga, you will move towards an arrival at Hospet, where dinner and overnight stay at Hospet Hotel will be planned.

After Breakfast you will leave towards South-East direction for a full day sightseeing tour of Hampi town. From Hospet, a city in Bellary District in central Karnataka, on Tungabhadra River, you will travel to UNESCO World Heritage site of Hampi, situated at a distance of 12 kilometres, known worldwide for the ruins of medieval city of Vijayanagara. The once powerful Vijayanagar Empire, of which Vijaynagara was a part, was compared to Rome by Portuguese traveller Paes.

A visit to the Virupaksha Temple, that forms the core of Hampi village; Lakshmi Narasimha, the massive 22 feet high largest idol in Hampi; Durbar Enclosure, comprising of – Mahanavami Dibba Pushkarini or stepped wells, Lotus Mahal, Elephant Stables, Queen’s Bath and Vitthala Temple, the stone chariot is planned for the day. Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Hospet.

An early start after breakfast, on a guided tour to Badami caves – a visit to the world heritage centre in Aihole and Pattadakalen route is planned for the day. You will be visiting the 10 major temples representing early Chalukyan architecture. The very old village of Ahiole, displays great architecture within its crumbling walls, in all, the ruins of about 125 temples.

Next in tour are the temples of Lad Khan, Durga (Fort) Temple, Huthimalli Temple, Konthis Temple Complex, Uma Maheshwari Temple, Jain Meguti Temple and the Buddhist Temple.

You will then be taken to Pattadakal which is spread across an area of four acres, has four large and six small temples, to name a few: Virupaksha Temple, Kailasa Temple, Mallikarjuna Temple, Galaganatha Temple, KashiVishveshwara Temple, Papanatha Temple.

On arrival at Badami you will be transferred to Badami Court Hotel, where an overnight stay at the hotel will be planned.

After breakfast we will set out on a full day sight- seeing tour of Badami, renowned for its rock-cut cave shrines, an outstanding example of early Chalukyan art. The caves are sure to take your breath away with their simple exteriors but exquisite interiors! The town is picturesquely situated at the mouth of a ravine, between two rocky red-sandstone hills. Badami has a fort atop the hill and there are four rock-cut shrines on a very tall rock, one situated above the other. Evening is free for relaxation and leisure activities. Overnight stay will be at Badami Hotel.

We will move towards South-West direction today. This tour sets aside the last 3 days for relaxation. The tour between Gokarna and the small state of Goa, along the coast of Arabian Sea, is dedicated to complete relaxation. You will proceed to Gokarna along with our representative. Gokarna, with its narrow streets, traditional houses and temples, has come to be a favourite haunt of Hindu pilgrims, Sanskrit scholars and beach buffs. Om beach, one of Gokarna’s five famed beaches, takes the shape of an ‘Om,’ a spiritual symbol. The other beaches, wedged between gigantic cliffs that protrude like delicate fingers into the sea, are Gokarna, Kudle, Half Moon, and Paradise. Overnight stay will be at Gokarna.

Our next destination today will be towards the North. After breakfast will be Betalbatim Beach. A boat ride in river Mondovi will be planned.  You will see the naturally grown palm trees, coconut trees and fruit trees along the beach. Overnight stay will be at a Goa resort.

If relaxation is your agenda, then the quiet beaches of South Goa are the places to head towards! You will be enjoying at Betalbatim beach in South Goa, which is a blend of both worlds. Betalbatim Beach is a central hub in the city, giving you a greater insight of Goa. You will relax in the peaceful stretch of white sand and the bustling resort of Colva, very close to the South. You willneed an entire day to explore the entire length of the beach. Several beach shacks exist for convenience.

Later half of the day will be planned for visit to the churches; Basilica of Bom Jesus, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Church of St. Francis of Assisi, Church of Our Lady of Springs, Church of St. Anne, Igreja da NossaSenhora de Neves are in the list. Later at the end of the day, you will return to the resort, for an overnight stay.

After breakfast you will be escorted to airport to board your flight to Mumbai. On arrival in Mumbai you will be transferred to the hotel. If time permits, you will visit a few places of tourist interests such as, the Gateway of India, Victoria terminus, Haji Ali and Mahalaxmi temple. Gateway of India, built during the British era is a historical monument, is located right in water front in the southern part of Mumbai. Victoria terminus which is today called the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus is another historic place to visit.

At Bhulabhai Desai Road, situated is the Mahalaxmi temple. Popular round the globe, this temple is listed in holy books of Hinduism. Haji Ali, popular among people of all origin is another one of the most popular religious place in Mumbai. Haji Ali Dargah or Mosque is a complex housing tomb of the Muslim Saint – Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari.

Later, you will be met and escorted to Mumbai International airport to connect with your homebound or onward flight. Have a happy journey with wonderful memories to cherish or travel to your next destination.

Somnathpur Temple or the Chennakesava Temple is approx. 35 kilometres from the town. It depicts one of the best examples of Hoysala architecture. This will be followed by a visit to popular vegetable and fruit markets of Mysore before we head towards the hotel for an overnight stay.
