This exclusive 14 day tour is planned specially for tourists who are fond of nature, water and adventure. Being tourism hub of India, Kochi offers much more than Mattancherry Palace, museums and synagogues to people visiting here throughout the year. Beaches being an irresistible attraction of the city, boat ride and backwater rafting have become a usual scene here. The journey will begin from Cochin, followed by taking you to explore Munnar, Thekkady, Kumarakom and Mararikulam.

The journey will commence with a cheerful arrival at Cochin- a colourful city. You will be whole heartedly greeted and soon we will proceed towards your pre-booked hotel. The rest of the day is planned to relax and rejuvenate after tiring flight journey.

Day will start with a delicious breakfast. Journey will proceed towards a half day private guided tour of Cochin. Most important sights of the city will be Dutch Palace (Note that it is closed on Friday), Jewish Synagogue (Closed on Friday & Saturday), St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing Nets will steal the day.

 

Mattancherry Palace or the Dutch Palace displays Hindu temple art and exhibits of kings of Kochi. You will see two more temples besides the palace. Each dedicated to Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva. Further inside, you will see the dining hall carved of wooden, decorated with brass cups.

 

Jewish Synagogue is spaces, usually used for communal prayers. A visit to this will give you a soothing feeling and calmness.

 

Evening is planned for a Kathakali dance performance at theatre. We will reach early to see the dancers back stage preparing for the performance.

 

Dinner will be served at the hotel followed by an overnight stay at Cochin.

After breakfast journey will head on towards Munnar. After a 4 hours’ drive you will hit Munnar and check-in at your hotel. Afternoon will be at leisure to relax. Your driver will be at your disposal this afternoon to provide you services for local drives, in case you need.

 

Evening is set for a visit to witness breathtaking scene of hills wrapped with green carpets of tea beds. Further you will see the tropical forest of flora and fauna. The highest peak of the Western Ghats can be witnessed here. Popular called Anamudi peak, it is the highest point of South-India.

Your day will start with a yum breakfast. Ask us for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. A private guide will assist you with the tour of Munnar. Visit of Eravikulam National Park is then planned. A sanctuary for the endangered mountain Goatsof South India, the Nilgiri Tahr (HemitragusHylocrious), the Eravikulam National Park stands out for the stark beauty of its rolling grasslands and sholas, spread over area of 97 square kilometres in the Kannandevan hills are the next attractions in the queue. Along with these you may also have a look on -Mattupetty Lake and Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden and Rajamalai which offers spectacular views. You can also visit the Tea Plantation museum. Evening is at leisure. You could ask your guide to advice on what more can be done. Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Munnar.

After breakfast, you will head on to Thekkady which is at a drive of 3 hours. Feel privileged to travel along the largest wildlife sanctuary of India. Arrival at Thekkady and thereby followed by a check in at a hotel is planned. Afternoon will be at leisure to relax at the hotel.

 

Thekkady is a small region within Periyar National Park. It has 27 Tiger reserves and is said to be one of the finest reserves in the world.

 

Overnight stay today will be at a hotel in Thekkady.

After a healthy breakfast, morning boat ride in Lake Periyar followed by spice plantation is planned. Thekkady situated 4,000 feet above sea level will make you feel worth coming here. You will feel the chilled weather and witness the over powering scenic beauty of the place.

 

A visit to the spice plantation farm is next in the queue. You will get to see the natural plantation of spices. We will also interact with the people who are actually involved in the day to day process of plantation.

 

Later in the afternoon you will see Kalaripayattu- a traditional martial art of Kerala. Overnight stay will be at hotel.

Mouth-watering breakfast will make way for Kumarakom. It is located on the famous backwaters of Kerala. After a drive of 3.5 hours, you will arrive at Kumarakom and check-in at your hotel room.

 

Afternoon will be at leisure to relax at the hotel. We will walk together with you to explore the region. You will see the paddy fields, coconut trees, lush green beds of grass and flowers.

 

Kumarakom has both fresh and salty water round it. Hence you will get to see a variety of fishes here. Fishing is the next activity planned for you. If you catch one for yourself, ask us to get it cooked for you.

 

Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Kumarakom.

After breakfast your day is at leisure to relax or pursue independent activities. Car and driver will not be at disposal. However, same can be arranged at nominal charges by contacting our local office directly. You could ask the guide to tell you about what interesting things can be done. You can go for Ayurveda spa or just rejuvenate your senses with a refreshing beach walk. Overnight stay today will be at the hotel.

After breakfast, you will drive to Alleppey or officialy known as Alappuzha (1 hour journey) to board your own private Rice Barge or houseboat. The backwaters of this old city are one of the most important tourist destinations of Kerala.  Kettuvallam (Houseboat) is an ideal mode to experience life of Kerala villages through the backwater canals.

After breakfast, dismemberment at Alleppey jetty and a small drive towards Mararikulam beach is planned. Note that Alleppey to Mararikulam is 14 kilometres and at an hour distance.  Mararikulam is a beautiful beach village and a fertile land of Kerala. Arrival at Mararikulam and check in at the resort is the next. Afternoon will be at leisure to relax.

 

Evening is planned today at the beach side with various activities including bone-fire, fishing and enjoying local delicacies of the region. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Next day will be at leisure to relax and explore the place on your own. Car and driver will not be at disposal. You may ask for additional service for a cab and chuffer.

 

You will be accompanied for a walk through the streets of Mararikulam. You will also see the lanes with vendors selling variety of fishes all over. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

A nice mouth-watering breakfast is planned at Hotel. At an appropriate time, you will be dropped to Cochin International airport after a drive of 2.5 Hours.
