Kerala enjoys a very unique geographical area as well as features that make this city a beautiful place in the world, as a tourist destination. There are many serene beaches, lush green hill stations, waterfalls, paddy fields that makes Kerala truly “God’s own creation”. This 14 days tour will take you down South of the country starting from the peak, making your journey a never forgetting delight. You will start from the capital city of country- New Delhi. We will take you to touch the plains, plateaus, greenery deserts, and seas. Everyday will have something extravagant for you to explore and capture. Come along with open arms to hug the splendid and divine places of Southern India.

After reaching Delhi Airport, you will be escorted to a hotel. A warm traditional Indian welcome waits at the hotel. We will let you relax for few hours, as you gear up for an amazing holiday in store for you in next 14 days.

Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Delhi.

Second day at Delhi will be sightseeing the areas of Old and New Delhi. We will start with a healthy breakfast at the hotel and move towards our first destination – Jama Masjid. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan, it is the largest mosque in India. The construction of the mosque took almost 6 years to complete. You will be amazed to know that the mosque can hold approx. 25 thousand worshipers at a time. A joyful Rickshaw Ride will be arranged for you to explore busy market area of old Delhi. Popularly known as Chandni Chowk, the crowded narrow market sells traditional attires, accessories, mouth-watering street food of North India and elements needed for daily household activities. The famous Raj Ghat which is the site of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation is also included in the scheduled.

Our next stop will be the Parliament house and the President house. We will also stop by to catch the glimpse of local vendors selling snacks, balloons, children playing at the park and boating at the India Gate. Standing firm under strict security, this historic structure was built to memorize and dedicate the soldiers who lost their lives during World War – II.

We will then move for our next destination – Qutab Minar. Known as the world’s tallest brick Minaret, this tower stands firm in the Mehrauli area of South Delhi. Built by Qutab-ud-din Aibak, Qutab Minar is an Islamic Monument well preserved today as one of the most visited tourist destination.

From here we will next move towards visiting Birla Mandir (temple) that was built in 20th century and it honours Goddess Laxmi, the Goddess of Wealth. A short visit to this temple will push us to our next destination of the day.

We will then return to our hotel, for an overnight stay in Delhi.

The next day we will set for Jaipur, which is popular all over the world with the name of Pink City. Note that we will be travelling towards South-East part of the country. Delhi to Jaipur is approx. 5-6 hours’ drive by road. We will go for sight- seeing of the city after you have relaxed and rejuvenated after a long drive.

Evening will be spent visiting the Bazaars and a walk towards the famous Raj Mandir Cinema. This large theatre is known all over the country, for its great size as well as opulent meringue colour interior.

Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Jaipur.

Today we will explore the beauty of 16th century Amber Fort and take a traditional elephant ride to the entrance of this fort. You will be taken from the foot-hills on beautifully decorated elephants in Maharaja Style, to reach the Amber fort situated on the hill-top. Once you reach, the fort is to be explored on foot. You will be seeing beautifully crafted walls, doors and windows with fine mirror work done all over the fort.

In the afternoon we will go to visit the Museum at Maharaja City Palace. This opulent structure which effortlessly fuses Mughal and Rajput styles has wonderful museums which display some intriguing artefacts and treasures.

Enjoy the treats of city of Jaipur itself starting with Jantar Mantar, an outstanding creation of Raja Jai Singh. An observatory built completely with stone in 1728. Pass by Hawa Mahal or the Wind Palace.A façade made during late 18th century, it allowed the royal women folk to look at the city while being hidden themselves.

Have a blissful stroll through gardens around the city in evening. You can also see the bazaars and get all kinds of merchandise from exotic spices and textiles to flowers and electronics. Then it’s another night of rest at Jaipur.We will stay at a hotel in Jaipur for the night.

Then we will set for Abhaneri – Bharatpur. Abhaneri is a village where we will take a stop for watching Chand Baori which is famous all over the world as it is the deepest step and the largest step well in the whole globe. It has nearly 3,500 steps and it is 13 stories deep. These step walls were created by the King Chandra of the Nikumbha Dynasty. This step well is regarded as the oldest monuments in the country. This place is situated near a temple that is dedicated to Harshat Mata who is regarded as the Goddess of happiness as well as joy. In the past years, the local people relied on the step wells in order to store the rainwater for their daily use.

 

After this, we will set for discovering the local life as well as the traditions in this region. We will also visit the School village where we will operate our programme “Change for Children’s Programme”.

Then we will set for visiting the Keoladeo Ghana National Park after checking in at the hotel in Bharatpur. We will enjoy a leisurely bicycle rickshaw ride in the park. Overnight stay today will be at Bharatpur.

Then on the next day, we will set for Agra and visit Fatehpur Sikri which was the capital of Mughal Emperor Akbar. Then we will visit the Agra Fort and then Legendary Taj Mahal. We will stay in the beautiful Taj Mahal till evening and watch the amazing sunset there. This place has been included in the Seven Wonders of the World and the trip to Agra is incomplete without visiting the great Taj.

The next morning we will reach Delhi. The whole day will be with you and you can spend a leisurely time in the capital city of our country.

Today is scheduled to catch a flight to Kochi to explore the Heaven on Earth: Kerala. Note that you will be travelling down towards South direction of the country. This place has a great history associated with it and thus, for the history lovers it is a great place to explore the legend. Once you reach, we will escort you to the hotel.

Later we will set for a guided tour to the historic Fort of Kochi. Seeing the elegant Chinese fishing nets and exploring the streets of this town is up the schedule. The fort of Kochi was built by Maharaja of Cochin in 1503. We will walk along to reach the fort. Further we will walk towards the Dutch cemetery, managed by Church of South India. The tomb stones will silently remind you of Europeans who left their country to expand their colonial empires and took shelter here.

Jewish Synagogue will be our next stop today. It is a space, usually used for communal prayers. A visit to this will give you a soothing feeling and calmness.

In the evening we will watch the traditional Kathakali performance at the theatre. We will plan to reach a little early to catch the glimpse of performers, preparing for the show. Watch them dress is amazing.

Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Kochi.

After completing the sight- seeing in Kochi, we will drive to Munnar which is a hill station on the verdant slopes of the tea gardens. Note that we will be travelling towards East of Kochi today. Kochi to Munnar is 4 hours’ drive.

You will get a chance to explore the breath taking views in surrounded hills. We will also view Anamudi which is the highest peak in South India and it is approximately 2,695 metres from sea level. In the rest of afternoon we will explore the rest of the area. By next morning, we will set for a visit to tea gardens and then also learn about the different stages of tea processing.

Your day will start with a yum breakfast. Ask us for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. A private guide will assist you with the tour of Munnar. You can also visit the Tea Plantation museum. Evening is at leisure. You could ask your guide to advice on what more can be done. Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Munnar.

Then in the next morning we will set for a visit to Tea Museum in Munnar. We will be travelling the South West direction today. After 4-5 hours’ drive to Alleppey, we will board on a privately furnished rice boat and get set for a journey in the lush backwaters. Our rice boat will take us along the enchanting palm fringed backwaters and cover the distance till 20 kilometres and also glide through the local villages and view the scenic beauty of the rural life.

Then in the evening we will see the beautiful sunset on backwaters and enjoy the delicious meals. Overnight stay today will be at the houseboat.

Mouth-watering breakfast will disembark the houseboat at Kumarakom. It is located on the famous backwaters of Kerala. Afternoon will be at leisure to relax at the hotel. We will walk together with you to explore the region. You will see the paddy fields, coconut trees, lushly green beds of grass and flowers.

Kumarakom has both fresh and salty water round it. Hence you will get to see a variety of fishes here. Fishing is the next activity planned for you. If you catch one for yourself, ask us to get it cooked for you.

Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Kumarakom.

After breakfast your day is at leisure to relax or pursue independent activities. Car and driver will not be at disposal. However, same can be arranged at nominal charges by contacting our local office directly. You could ask the guide to tell you about what interesting things can be done. You will go for Ayurveda spa or just rejuvenate your senses with a refreshing beach walk. Overnight stay today will be at a hotel.

This will be the end of our memorable journey and after having the breakfast we will set for Kochi again.
